My confidence in my abilities has steadily been falling, which leads to less art/worse art, which leads to less self confidence. Them nasty downward spirals.
I want to inspire others, but if I'm not inspired myself, then how can I do that?
I look at past works and wonder "what possessed me to do that"

With art I'm way more into technique which is easier to get better and better at. But originality? Yeah, that's a tough one.
Now what am I supposed to do with this knowledge? xp
well what do you read or watch that inspires you?
(personally for me homestuck has inspired so much the music in it is incredible and the concepts are amazing)
Jealous that I can't do as well as they did overall- circumstances, like number of people and age, aside. (for some reason)
i compair myself to andrew hussie (creator of homestuck) who i thinks a genius and has played what he knows to it's fullest and makes all of his ideas work
and you know i HATE that he's so good at that
so you know what i do?
i work XD i work really hard at getting better
you know maybe getting to the point of being able to chat with the guy
that's what i work towards
not some business goal not some "how can i use this to take advantage" nothing like that
i just want to be able to do
the stuff i want to do
and that is make stories
and bring them to life through art
i really suggest you find something like that mate
someone you look up to and strive to be as good yet
in your own way or style
